Arsenal’s hopes of a top four finish in the English Premier League took a massive blow on Tuesday night after they were beaten away to relegation candidates Swansea City.
After wins against Crystal Palace and Chelsea over the last week, hopes were high that Arsene Wenger’s side had turned a corner on inconsistent form, but the same old failings came to the fore again against the Swans.
It was all going swimmingly when Arsenal took the lead in the 33rd minute thanks to Nacho Monreal, but a Sam Clucas double and a Jordan Ayew effort were enough to ruin the Gunners’ evening.
Fans were left fuming with the performance and had particular criticism for players like Hector Bellerin, who performed well below his best.
The Spaniard has struggled to capture his form of seasons past so far this term and supporters are increasingly growing impatient with the defender, with some even calling for him to be sold.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his Tuesday showing…
