Liga MX side Chivas have reportedly agreed a four-year contract with PSV defender Richy Ledezma, according to ESPN NL. The 24-year-old's contract with the Dutch club runs out at the end of June, and the Mexican outfit appears to have swooped in to secure his signature.
Ledezma, who is Mexican-American, is uncapped with the senior U.S. men's national team, but appeared for the USA at both the U18 and U19 youth levels. He has made one appearance for the senior USMNT, appearing in a friendly against Panama in November 2020. But Ledezma, who holds both U.S. and Mexico passports, is still eligible to play for due to the match not being a competitive fixture.

The report added that clubs from both Italy and England, along with other Liga MX outfits, were all in pursuit of Ledezma – but Chivas appears to have won the race. A dual-national, Ledezma's choice to sign in Mexico could correlate with his aspirations to play international soccer.
Mexico coach Javier Aguirre confirmed in February that he had contacted Ledezma before the March international break to discuss his potential future with the program. He was named to Mauricio Pochettino's 60-man preliminary roster for the USMNT earlier this week, but was not selected for the 27-man Gold Cup training camp.
Across his time at PSV, Ledezma won two Eredivisie titles, playing in 62 matches where he scored two goals and provided two assists.
